Athletic Booster Club Rejuvenation Meeting
“Athletic Booster Club Rejuvenation Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 6:30pm in the Cafeteria on WHS campus. We want to elevate our Athletics with the help of our great community and parents. Please attend a short informational meeting regarding the vision the athletic department has for our Athletic Booster Club and all the ways you can help support our student-athletes moving forward. We want to become a booster club that helps raise funds for our student-athletes to have the greatest experiences while at Watsonville High School. To do this, we need your help, support and little of your time. Please clear your calendar so you can hear the great things we want to do for our student-athletes.”
Please forward this email to any parent/community member you think would want to help.
WHS Athletics Vision
"The Role of High School Sports"
The role of high school athletics is to prepare student athletes of today with necessary skills that will allow them to become productive citizens of tomorrow. High school sports should be a positive experience for everyone with priorities placed on developing values and learning life lessons rather than
securing scholarships or becoming professional athletes.Athletics promotes the importance of teamwork, effort, goals, and commitment. Sportsmanship, respect for participants, and dignity in the face of adversity are more important than the outcome of the contest. All athletes do not perform at the same level, but all can demonstrate effort, dedication and fair play.
It is our desire for your son/daughter to have viable life changing experiences through sports. WE all care for your son/daughter’s future and high school experience. We are sharing this with you because of our commitment and passion for WHS Athletics. We hope, as a school & community develop successful, world changing young people through their experiences participating in WHS Athletics.
"It's A WE Thing!"
